 Bickleigh
Down Care Centre is located in a modern residential
neighbourhood, overlooking the edge of Dartmoor,
just north of Plymouth. The Centre is very much
a part of the community it serves, lying adjacent
to shops and a Doctor’s surgery. It enjoys
easy access to the Devon countryside and Plymouth
City centre.
Bickleigh Down Care Centre comprises of 56 single
and 4 double ensuite bedrooms. Forty beds are registered
with South and West Devon Health Authority for long
and short stay nursing care for the elderly and
physically disabled.
The centre provides all the services and facilites
that one would expect in a modern nursing home.
All accommodation is private and offers en-suite
facilities. There are a number of communal lounges,
conservatories and patios where much of the residents
activity takes place. Also within the Centre, Moorland
View is a 24 bedded dedicated unit for the Elderly
Mentally Ill including Alzheimers and Dementia sufferers.
